Moldovan President Accuses Wagner Mercenary Group Of Plotting Coup In Chisinau

President of Moldova Maia Sandu revealed in an interview published on October 6th that a group of Wagner mercenaries, founded by the late Yevgeny Prigozhin, had planned a coup in Moldova.

In her conversation with the Financial Times, Sandu stated that, according to government information, the coup was planned this year by Prigozhin's team. She added that money was smuggled from Russia to Moldova, partly through couriers and partly through bank accounts in Dubai. She also stated that pro-Russian forces in Moldova will continue to be financed by Moscow to destabilize the country.
